During the Independence struggle from the British rule, father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi, asked the people of our nation to boycott foreign clothing, products, services and to make locally loomed Khadi clothes. This was the first step taken in making India self-dependent towards the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. Now, in the last few years, our nation's youth have been involved in many other things that might help the nation step upstairs.

Amidst the global economic crisis owing to the onsets on COVID Pandemic, our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji gave to the youth of our nation a clarion mission of “Atmanirbhar Bharat”. Following the direction shown by Modi Ji and aligning our purpose to his call, Setup India was established on 25th September, 2020 under the able leadership of Dr. Sandesh Yadav.

Setup India believes that India will truly become Atmanirbhar only when the energy of the youth of our nation is well channelized and fostered productively. Today the biggest barrier restricting this growth and empowerment for the youth is the inaccessibility or un-traceability of opportunities in the public domain. Only the handful privileged have the access to such knowledge, network, and business opportunities.

Setup India aims to democratise this highly restricted resource pool for the welfare of the society by enabling entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs to use these resources and transforming the lives of millions, through enterprising and economic development.

To make Brand India world class as well as affordable, we need to develop the talent and infrastructure for designing and producing products which compete with the market without compromising on quality yet cheaper and affordable. As our Prime Minister NarendraModi has said self-reliance does not mean using only swadeshi products but implies producing world-class quality products which would sell not only domestically but globally.

Self-reliance does not mean that we depend on the free cash doles given by the Government to sustain ourselves but it means that we become a contributor to the nation's economy by starting our own business and contributing to the development of the nation.
